Dear Bluelightcamp,
I think we should probably have a chat sometime between now and the B-APCO event about an initiative we are running called “Bluelightworks”, which you may already be aware of, that is gathering significant interest within the blue light community and central government. We are also planning a session at B-APCO too so a meeting in advance may be of mutual benefit.

Hi Bluelightcamp
It’s a shame that there is a hack clash with the Met Police’s Hack the Police event on the same weekend and it’s good to see the Met suggesting a shared hashtag #bluelighthack which is welcome.
I wonder whether any consideration has been given to a video linked meeting or a Google + hangout at some point between both hack events – it could lead to some good sharing of insights and avoid duplication.
Kind regards
Nick
Hi Nick
Yes, we are really keen to link up with the Met Police’s Hack the Police event. I suggested this to them mid March when I first heard of their event via Hadley at #EnvHack and spoke to Lewis at theODI about linking up. He was going to suggest this to the group running the London event.
We are live streaming Bluelightcamp via John Popham and I don’t see any reason this can’t be used to feed our “police” discussions to the Met’s Hack. I’d suggested to Lewis the idea of having a joint hashtag so we’d be very happy to go with the Met’s suggested #bluelighthack.
Regards
Sasha
